What happens if you need to cancel

This policy governs all refunds, cancellations, credits and administrative fees for vendor fees paid to the Warrensburg Chamber of Commerce for Chamber-assigned spaces at the World's Largest Garage Sale®. If your plans change, notify the Chamber immediately.

Renting from a private property owner? Fees paid to a property owner are between you and that owner, and Town of Warrensburg permit fees are set by the Town. The Chamber cannot refund either. See Private Property Vendors.

1.Cancellations On or Before August 30

Vendors may request a full refund for cancellations received on or before August 30, less a $50 administrative cancellation fee.

Returning vendors who cancel and receive a refund forfeit priority placement and will be considered a new vendor the following year.

Approved refunds are processed within 30 days after the event. No exceptions will be made.

2.Cancellations After August 30

Vendor fees are non-refundable for cancellations received after August 30.

Exception: space reassignment

If a vendor cancels after August 30 and the Chamber is able to reassign the space to another vendor, a refund may be issued at the Chamber's discretion, less the $50 administrative cancellation fee.

Space reassignment is not guaranteed. No refund will be issued if the space cannot be filled.

3.No Credits or Rollovers

The World's Largest Garage Sale® does not offer future event credits, vendor fee rollovers, deferred participation or transfers to future years.

No credits will be issued for future events. No exceptions.

4.Other Situations

Weather. The event takes place rain or shine. No refunds are issued for weather, and none are issued if the Chamber must modify, suspend or cancel the event for severe weather, emergencies or circumstances beyond its control.
Non-payment. Vendors who have not paid in full by July 1 risk forfeiture of their reserved space, as set out in the Application & Space Assignment Policy.
Removal. Vendors removed from the event for violating the Vendor Terms & Conditions, or whose space is cancelled for failure to provide required insurance, are not eligible for a refund.
Prohibited items. Vendors who refuse to remove a prohibited item from display and sale when asked, as set out in Sections 5 and 13 of the Vendor Terms & Conditions, will be removed from the event and are not eligible for a refund.
Sales and attendance. No refunds are issued based on sales, shopper traffic or weather-related attendance.

5.Insurance Recommendation

All vendors are required to carry general liability insurance for the event. In addition, vendors are strongly encouraged to purchase event cancellation insurance to protect against unforeseen circumstances such as illness, vehicle issues or other emergencies.

Event cancellation insurance is separate from, and in addition to, the required liability coverage.
